  • I recently moved to a high rise near the Strip and I have been looking for a nail salon close by that wasn't directly on Las Vegas Blvd. I found Crystal Nail Salon on Yelp and so happy that I checked this place out. First of all, I had an excellent pedicure with Tuyt(pronounced 'tweet'). She was meticulous and detail-oriented. The owner, Cathy, did my manicure and her skills were just as stellar. I couldn't have asked for a better mani/pedi. The thing that impressed me the most however was the owner's demeanor. She walked into the salon with her disabled husband, yet rather than look burdened she was smiling and cheerful and radiated such positive energy. She greeted each and every person in the room with a beaming smile. She later told me that her husband had suffered a brain tumor and he had been through four surgeries. She is his primary caregiver while raising three children at home and running this nail salon. I was so taken by her story and her great attitude. If you want a great mani/pedi then for sure this is the place to go but more importantly if you want to support a local business owner with a beautiful heart and spirit then hands down I highly recommend a visit to this salon so you can see for yourself.
