| - Expected this place to be ghetto as fuck, considering it's in a shopping center right next to my favorite third-world Albertsons (every time I go in, someone is being arrested for shoplifting out front). But it's right around the corner from my house, so I figured I'd give it a try when I needed to wash my comforter.
To my amazement, from the second I walked through the door I could see I was in the Ritz Carlton of laundromats! No grimy quarters, no snot-nosed sniveling brats dragging louse-infested stuffed toys around while SpongeBob SquarePants blared on a fuzzy TV. This place was clean, well organized and even smelled good, with patrons sitting around quietly enjoying the free Wi-Fi.
I had barely started fumbling with the machine when a woman named Rashida came up and showed me how it works over there -- you load a special laundry card with your credit card at a machine against one wall, then use your laundry card to pay for the washer and dryer. It cost me about $10 total to wash and dry my comforter, which is pretty standard.
The only bummer is, I didn't realize you have to pay to use the restroom -- I didn't feel like loading another $0.25 on my laundry card, which is how you access the bathrooms. It's a good idea, as it probably keeps them really clean (as others here attest)...but just keep that in mind if you have a small bladder, like I do.
Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out to Rashida for being so friendly and helpful... she was seriously super cool. I will definitely be back to this laundromat next time I need to wash something bulky.
