| - Dehumanizing, disgusting, rude and flat out AWFUL.
This was my absolute worst experience in a shuttle - period. These guys make Super Shuttle look like transportation gods. This is the shadiest, most ridiculously behaving company I have ever transported with.
Booked a deal of some kind through Orbitz when booking the hotel and flight. To start, their customer service was 100% rude and disrespectful - on the phone AND in person. Upon arriving to the airport, we had to wait 40 minutes to depart to our hotel. Prior to that, a "Showtime representative" insisted that we were blocking the walkway while waiting for another member of our party to purchase an additional ticket. The man rudely demanded that we move (people were easily moving around us) and of course he didn't even offer to help us.
When calling the service to book my return trip, a customer service "rep" hung up on me on the phone and the girl I spoke with cut me off multiple times while I was trying to reschedule my shuttle for an hour after I had originally planned for. Here's where I went wrong: I managed to keep my yellow ticket the entire trip, right until I was scheduled to get on this shuttle. I acquired an unfortunate bout of food poisoning (hence my phone call to reschedule) and I imagine that I lost it somewhere around the bathroom situation.
Of course, if you don't have your ticket, you can't ride. I shuffled through every crack and crevice in my wallet, purse and pockets, noticeably stressed. The driver pulled over at a hotel off the strip when I told him that I couldn't find my ticket, and demanded 7 more dollars. I explained to him that I had had food poisoning, simply dropped it somewhere along with way in the shuffle of all of my things, but still had a confirmation number and proof of payment - I even called the company "Headquarters" to explain the situation. They were completely unwavering and told me that I would have to get out and find another way to the airport if I couldn't pay the $7.00. The driver treated me like trash; it wasn't about the money at this point for me, it was principle - but I knew I would have to pay the additional amount. Well, the only money I had in my wallet was a $1 bill and a $100 bill; which of course he refused to take. He was vocally willing to make every single person on that bus miss their flight, just to make sure that he got $7.00 from me. As I started to empty out my wallet and count quarters, dimes, and nickels to pay this additional fare right then and there, the surrounding passengers came to the rescue and rallied up 6 more dollars so that we could all get on with our travel plans. All because I misplaced my ticket and they refused to take a $100 bill.
These guys are in the business of scamming; they know that most people lose their tickets and therefore can make a killing by forcing passengers to pay an additional fee. The worst part about this entire experience is that this company was willing to leave me stranded at a shady location just off the strip, all over $7, when I had a large amount of money on me, and I could have even paid with my debit or credit card upon arriving to the airport.
In sum, this company is a nightmare to do business with, I would NEVER put anyone I care about in their hands, not even for a second. It would please me immensely for a company that cares about humans and their experiences, to put these guys out of business. So until that happens, I will make sure nobody else that I can influence, will ever book with this company.
