| - Don't pay attention to the poor reviews. Maybe Vita-Mix customer service used to be bad, but my recent experience was probably the best and easiest customer service department I ever worked with.
Somebody in my house managed to break the hefty on/off switch so I could blend with pulse. Since my model has pre-programmed settings, this wasn't going to cut for me, so I called up customer service to send it in for a repair. All they needed was the serial number--no proof of purchase, no warranty slip, nothing.
They emailed me a pre-paid UPS shipping slip which I sent out on a Saturday. The next week I was heading inside to track my order to see if it arrived at their facility yet, and there was a Vita-Mix box on my porch. They had received it, repaired it, and got it back to me by Friday. Less than a week for the whole process, and not a single penny to pay.
I was expecting to wait a month to get it back, but it's working like new. Highly recommend, along with the exceptionally high quality of the machine. Being forced to use the dusty old magic bullet for a week really made me miss it.
