  • Something bad has happened here; I will never go here again. This story is so odd and illogical it's difficult to tell it properly. (Note also that the story here is similar to my other car repair review. Two shops each had my car for a week and did not work on it or call me.) I've been a customer here for 2 years, spending over $2000 on repairs and maintenance. This time, I brought my car in on Monday, explained I'd be out of town until Wed or Thu on a work trip and they could work on it in the meantime. They've done this for me before. I asked for a quote before they began work. They didn't call. I left a msg on Tues eve. On Wed I called again. I was told they hadn't looked at the car yet because I told them not to until I'd talked to the owner, Kenny. I never said that; nevertheless, I asked for Kenny to call me back. He never called. After a few attempts at contacting Kenny at the shop, on Thurs eve the mechanic (Emit, I believe's his name) called me, asking about who did a brake job on my car?? I didn't know what he was talking about. I haven't had my brakes done in over 2 yrs. He was fixated on this, then mentioned he thought a wheel bearing was out. But he'd replaced this wheel bearing just a few months ago, and I reminded him of this. He claimed he couldn't remember / didn't do the work. I asked him to check his records, and he said the computer with the service histories was down. I called Friday, a.m., still no work done on my car, still no call from Kenny. I asked Emit for Kenny's cell phone, which he gave me. Kenny was annoyed when he realized he was talking to a customer, and he immediately went on the offensive, claiming I said I would stop in to have my car looked at with them before they began work. So there are 3 stories: mine (call with a quote), Emit's (call Kenny b4 beginning work) and Kenny's (stop in for a visual before getting a quote). I told Kenny that I was understandably dismayed at this weird situation because they'd had my car all week and hadn't done any work on it, and he was refusing to return my phone calls. I also inquired why Emit was saying I needed to have a repair done a 2nd time in mere months, and that they couldn't provide any service history on my car. Kenny then unleashed this stream of cursing invective and made physical threats against me. Be it known that Kenny claims to be a Christian with a workspace full of Christian accessories. This wasn't Christianity's finest moment. I returned to the garage to get my car. Emit said the bearing must be repaired, so I let him do it (again), for which he charged me approximately $70. I asked him to change the oil, but he said he couldn't, another car was on the lift. I never did get the original problem I brought the car in looked at. Finally, I learned later that day my car was out of oil. The oil light never came on, but I felt paranoid and checked. It was dry, not a drop showing on the dipstick. The car has never burned oil and I've always had the oil changed on/ahead of schedule. This is incredibly sad. I use that car to inspect nursing homes and protect seniors - for real. I don't get paid a lot to do this either. I believe these guys sabotaged my car. I don't have any explanation for their delays, for their failure to call me or respond to my calls, or to provide a proper evaluation of my car's service needs, or for Kenny's cussing tantrum on the phone. But something is terribly wrong there, and I urge you not to suffer with them as I did.
