As someone from Hawaii it's no surprise I've been coming here for years, and years and years LOL. Between Main Street and the Cal this is truly the 9th island and Sam Boyd was smart to cater to the untapped resource tucked away a few thousand miles away in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
The hotel:
The hotel, like many things, "is what it is." It's not a fancy strip hotel with its ambiance lighting or mints on the pillow. It offers exactly what it says you'll get - a clean room with a comfy bed where you can crash for the night after spending all day drinking/gambling/eating. I personally love the fact that these rooms are simple and tbh more spacious than most rooms I've paid upwards of $300 to stay at. There's a fridge to store your leftovers, no mini bar to get ripped off from at check out and decor that is in line with the train decor they got goin on throughout the place. All in all yes - it aint the strip hotels - but if you want that go then. Cause I'd stay here any time.
The Casino:
Like I said above, this aint the Strip. There's a handful of $5 blackjack, roulette, and a TON of video poker machines. The 20x odds Craps tables are usually rockin and rollin and the noise level can jump up when things are going good so be on the lookout for that. All in all a cozy place to play, relax and have a good time.
