| - What a great time. Went in November, was on the cold side....very cold, high of 36 degrees. And a lot of the areas are shaded by trees, so the sun didn't help too much.
Free parking, even for my RV. Too bad no overnights allowed. I would have paid to stay overnight and attend a second day, but instead headed home. Hint hint!
Get there early or be stuck in traffic! We were one of the first in the lot, so no traffic, but we waited in our RV afterwards warming up for about an hour afterwards to avoid the long line to leave.
Next year we will go in early October to get a little warmer weather.
The weekend we attended was time traveler weekend. Kind of weird for a renaissance festival, but still fun.
Food was really well priced for this type of event. The most expensive thing we saw was the giant turkey leg at $7.50, and they are excellent.
If you like shopping in the shops, their are lots of them here, and they aren't all selling the same thing like other festivals we've been to.
No guns allowed, duh! But our swords and knives were fine, they just had to be strapped at the front gate so you couldn't draw them out.
What set this Faire apart was the buildings weren't just tents like we've seen in the past. It is a permanent site, so they have actual buildings for the shops.
