  • Do not live here. There was a SHOOTING in my sister's building on her floor early in the morning (bullet holes in the wall that separated her room from the hallway and blood on that same wall). Despite the Vertex's obvious lack of security both before and after the shooting, they would not let her end her lease after she suffered from severe PTSD after hearing the shots and the shot victim try to escape down the hall, from just inside her bedroom. She lost all of her personal belongings (photos, clothing, shoes, blankets, school textbooks and notes/supplies, etc.) and furniture because they dead bolted them inside the bedroom, while she was hiring a lawyer to terminate her lease. Never saw any of her things again, and ended up having to pay a collection agency 1/10 of the owed cost for months of 'not paying rent' while her room was dead bolted with her items inside, and she was living with me while she medically withdrew from school due to the shooting and emotional harm that it caused, on top of the harassment from a property manager demanding thousands of dollars from a 19 year old girl. This event event affected her education, her credit and most importantly, her health. Dangerous, unethically run, and quite honestly - way too expensive for the cheap amenities both in the apartments themselves and inside the complex. For this price, check out Farmer Apartments.
