| - We had a pretty disappointing grooming experience here. Our family has two Persian cats, who we like to keep groomed short with a lion cut. It is difficult to find groomers who work with cats, so I was thrilled when we moved to the Beaches a few months ago and found Tails.
When I inquired about the price, I was told it would be ~$90 a cat. That is more than what we had been paying in the suburbs (It's about $60 there), but fine. I was told that it included a bath, but our cats hate water, so I asked if we could do the groom without the bath. The groomer complied with that no problem at all... yet we were still charged $90 a cat (plus tax, over $200 total). But fine, that is my problem for not confirming that we'd actually be paying less for no bath.
My real issue is the way the hair is growing back in. Their cut was about 3 months ago, and one of the cats is still almost totally bald on the top of her back, from the bottom of her neck to the base of her tail. It looks ridiculous! I have no idea if the hair follicles were damaged from the clipper (there are clear clipper edge marks...it is literally a perfectly straight bald line, the width of the clippers), or what the issue is, but we've never had this problem with her previous grooms. If it ever grows back, we will likely just drive the distance back to the suburbs in the future.
