| - Been here twice now, once on a first date and last visit for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere is very nice and festive (esp with the Christmas decor) and the service is top notch. The first visit was fun, bc the owner came around and did sake bombs with us, singing and tossing her cowboy hat. This past visit was pretty low-key, but still our server was gracious and attentive. I had sushi the first time and although very pricey, it was good. This past visit I ordered the chicken teriyaki dinner...... Not impressive. I asked for extra broccoli and mushrooms for the stir fried veggies. She said those weren't veggies that were used (cabbage, zucchini and squash were) and I told her that was fine and that I would pay additional for them. (Word to the wise, this cost me $5.00 for some twigs of broccoli and a few shiitake mushrooms) I ordered fried rice ($1extra) and when my meal came it was presented well, but the chicken looked as though it had been sautéed plain in chunks and soy/ponzu/teriyaki sauce was poured over it along with some sesame seeds. Way too salty and not very good. The fried rice and veggies were good. For what we ordered as a couple (my meal, with all the additions) and three basic sushi rolls, two pieces of nigiri, and a beer it was $72. Way too much for what we got. When I can eat sushi again, I will head to my fave Rusans. :)
