Purchased furniture here when I 1st moved to Vegas about 10 years ago. Now it was time to purchase a mattress. Stopped in after I had been to several other stores checking out their mattresses. No one addressed me as I walked around laying on different mattresses. Finally after about 30 minutes someone finally did. Tried several beds for over 30 additional minutes with the sales person (Will.) While I was checking out beds by myself had over heard one of the sales floor associates asking another customer if they needed a bed moved to another room when they delivered their new bed as I was laying next to one of the sales terminals. Will couldn't offer me the mattress protector in the bed deal. I decided to leave & go back to Sears & some of the other places I had checked out already during the weekend. As I was going down the escalator the sales person in front of me with another customer offered the mattress protector to her as part of the sale if she'd buy the bed there. I apologized for interrupting them but asked he (Jacob) could offer the mattress protector as part of the deal but Will couldn't. He gave me a line that Will wasn't a mgr. (after Will had told me he's been w/ Walker for 10 yrs in various positions.) So all of a sudden it was back up the escalators & Will is going to give me the mattress protector with the bed. He seemed like he was trying to do it extremely fast & I felt like he was being shady as to not have Will find out I was there. Then he took me down to the payment area. I handed over my credit card for payment & the lady behind the counter couldn't remember what the code was for Amex to put in & she was yelling across to other workers there which I felt was rude to do so in front of everyone. I happened to ask about their movers being able to move my current mattress & box spring to another room when they delivered the new bed & she informed me that they do not do that. Whoa! Hold the sale. I informed her that I had over heard one of the sales people on the floor while I was upstairs laying on a bed ask another customer if they needed help moving their old furniture & they said yes & the salesman said they'll help do that when they arrive. So I asked the rude attitude cashier to call & get Jacob so we could ask him. While I waited at the cashier table she called up someone (not sure who) to ask if the delivery guys could move my furniture & I don't know what the person on the other end of the phone said but the cashier replies "because I have a customer here in my face." Excuse me? I never once through the whole process acted in a manner that I was in her face. I was actually just standing there at the counter the whole time waiting for for Jacob to show up (he finally did after 20 minutes when I was ready to leave the store.) Since it was taking so long I had decided to call up one of the other bed places I had been that weekend & asked if they had a bed that was similar & if they could offer me the same price. They told me sure & I told them I'd be there in 30 minutes to buy it. By that time rude cashier lady told me I'd have to sign a liability waiver & such for them to move my existing box-spring & mattress. What? Are you kidding me? Every other mattress company includes moving the old bed to another room or disposing of it. I told her right then to cancel the sale & I'd never be back to Walker furniture again. She is 90% the reason I wouldn't step foot in that place as to how rude she was to me & her attitude trying to say that I was in her face & a couple of other comments she made to the person on the other end of the phone that I don't recall now which were completely false. What a complete witch. Walker you need to train your employees better to have good customer service skills. Because of your employee you've lost my business & I'll make sure I tell everyone I know to stay away from your store if they ever say they're going there.
