rev:text	I'm not in the mood for bitter invective, ad hominem attacks or sporting a split bill between Juvenalian bathos and a sustained coloratura soprano of high brow. The espresso I ordered was not only sour, but also very acidic. I'm not a scientist, but I'd place the pH level between hydrochloric acid and the battery variety. Upon reaching my lips I was obliged to not recognize it as any form of liquid suitable for human consumption. My appetite became permanently dead as the horrid filth sifted through my mouth and proceeded down my gullet. To simulate my ordeal simply imagine this: you are about to vomit, a teaser dose comes lurching out of your esophagus so fast that the epiglottal warning consonant fails to sound and you are forced to swallow (perhaps you're in good company and wish not to embarrass yourself). That taste and that feeling is the Madhouse espresso experience. So let's say you don't really drink coffee, and you're more into supporting mom and pop businesses just because it's not an evil corporate giant. Fair enough. The owner was walking around barefoot that night. Last year I saw the man, Marco is his name, dusting an unboxed loaf of panettone with powdered sugar and the fugitive dandruff flake or two. I don't fault a man for accidents, but please, do not give Intelligentsia Coffee a bad reputation, hire some competent workers and upkeep your machines on a regular basis. The macarons are delicious, however, though not without some Head and Shoulders.
