| - Do NOT go here.......I believe your pet may sustain injuries!!
My cat returned from Downtown Animal Hospital in Toronto with permanent nerve damage caused potentially by trauma endure during grooming and his stay there. After many efforts in trying to resolve this only with them, it has left me frustrated, and with very little response or remorse on their side. In the end, I felt it was a question of trust.
My concern is always for my cat's health first. I went back to Downtown Animal Hospital to tell them my concerns. The first response was very harsh by the Veterinarian there, and later, they ask me to talk to the director. After going there several times, and emailing the director, I finally was able to meet with someone only after a week had past. Their final response was withheld until several weeks later. Their first excuse was the groomer was not a staff of the facility. This is very misleading. A groomer with a business card there, led me to believe I was dealing also with Downtown Animal Hospital.
So, in the end, I received an email with no lack of concern, their reasoning being that they are REPUTABLE!! I understand that there is a grey area, but for them to be so assured that nothing could have happen on their side makes me very worried for future occurrences. My cat has permanent nerve damage that could have been sustain from trauma endured during his grooming or his stay there. No one can conclude that this is not an impossibility. No explanation or compensation!!!
I will never return to Downtown Animal Hospital, and I recommend others to not take the risk either.
