| - The atmosphere here is super-kitschy and kind of neat (including cheesy old movies--a horror movie the day we visited--a shuffleboard table, pool, and lots of over-the-top 50s-themed decorations). The fact that the location is also attached to a Roman Candle Pizza is convenient for the drinks-and-dinner crowd, and the decorative fish tanks add to the "Atomic Koi" namesake. Even the bartenders seem 50s/60s themed, with lots of tattoos and a roller-derby-pinup-girl persona.
The night we visited, the music was weird and super loud, ranging from heavy metal to golden oldies. This made conversation difficult, even though there were only the two of us.
The drinks were very mediocre. Though priced reasonably ($6-$8, on average), drinks were extremely sweet (Gala) or strong (Pixie Stick), and both were reminiscent of a packaged mixer. Having not had a wider sampling, though, I can't say for sure.
