I have been dealing with Family Music Centers for more than a couple years. I have bought and rented instruments from them. The store on Craig Rd has a gentleman named Bill that is one of the kindest men I've ever dealt with doing business with a company. When I was in the hospital he worked with me, month after month, with no issue.
When my son's instrument was almost paid off, I got hurt at work. I was off for over 5 months with hardly any income. The owner, Jim Mason, not only worked with my to let my son keep his instrument, he insisted on it.
There is a saying that goes ' It isn't what happens, it's how you deal with it that's important. ' This company deals with its customers fairly, ethically and with respect. They go above and beyond trying to place an instrument in your or your child's hands and keep it there. They have EVERYTHING you need to learn multiple instruments from sheet music to books to flash cards to teachers. They even have classes.
I would never deal with another music business before first going to Family Music Center. I would suggest the same for you. (Yes, I'm a real customer - Lol)
