I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. I dined here during the last week of December with a restaurants.com gift card. I got a bad feeling right off the bat when the owner was barked at 3 of his staff members right in front of myself and my kids. He really didn't even care that we were standing there. We stood around (with no one in front of us) for 5 minutes with no acknowledgment before the hostess got us to a table. We sat at our table for about 45 minutes before our waitress even got to us to take our order... yes, you read that right 45 minutes!! And, this was after having the hostess come by several times to apologize and say she would get the waitress over. When the waitress finally made it over, she couldn't have cared less. Seriously, it was like she was irritated she had to take our order. We were there for over an hour by the time our mediocre pizza made it to our table. After we finished eating, we again sat for about 20 minutes waiting for our waitress to bring a box and she never came. So, I got up AGAIN to see if I could bother someone to give us a box so that we could leave since this dinner was now going on over 2 hours.
After all of this, and I was livid at this point, imagine my surprise when I was automatically charged an 18% gratuity... for the worst service I had experienced in a while. I'm not sure if it's because we used a restaurants.com gift card or what... but if you don't want to accept them, then don't.
* Horrible service
* Overpriced & mediocre food
* Automatically charged 18% gratuity for a party of 6
* Owner (or manager, whoever he was) barks at employees in front of guests
Save yourself the stress and eat at Sunset Pizza straight across Boulder Highway. Their pizza kills Johnny Mac's.
