UNETHICAL! I did not visit this office because front desk told me on the phone that their policy is to not prescribe any pain medication to those on a pain management regimen. (Pain mgmt. patients do not get extras for dental emergencies from their pain drs - you get minimum for baseline pain) This is suggesting that I would have an emergency tooth extraction just for drugs. How amazing to think that someone with a chronic medical condition might have dental issues? Well, at this office, somebody cares more about their convenience than patient comfort. I don't know how the DEA might view emergency tooth extraction as med seeking behavior or some red flag.
Why would you let someone like that dig bones out of your head?
Also, the receptionist initially told me that I had to either have a consult + an emergency extraction with general anesthesia OR an emergency extraction with just local anesthesia, then at my shock she later accepted an emergency appointment with general, but not for 2 days. Obviously, I did not keep that appointment after I heard their sadistic policy. (How can you charge for an emergency when you force a separate consultation appointment?)
