  • This past weekend I took my first mega bus trip....and my last. Went from Pittsburgh to NYC. On the way to NYC we see another mega bus on the opposite side of the freeway broken down. The passengers were standing, scattered about on the side of the road. I was thinking that things can happen...oh well. Easy for me to say. Little did I know that it would be my daughter and I on our return trip standing on the roadside in the shade of a broken down bus. The driver pulled onto the shoulder and never said a word. No announcement...nothing. After a few minutes, and the temperature rapidly rising..it was 90+ degrees, some passengers began to exit the bus. Not once during the 2 1/2 hours that we sat on the roadside did the driver make any sort of general announcement as to what was going on. Finally a mechanic pulled up and made a repair. Then we get stuck in a massive traffic delay. Our ETA in Pittsburgh was 6:30 and we arrived just before 10:30.....almost 4 hours late! So far I have heard nothing from mega bus about a remedy. Obviously 1 star is too many.
