| - I had stopped going to the Golden Corral due to the food and all the little kids who are not supervised by their parents and were coughing, touching and tasting the food. We went there this past Sunday, March 5th and had an absolutely outstanding breakfast! The steak was better than some I've had at the steak houses around Phoenix. It was flavorful, lean and extremely tender. The gentleman cooking it obviously knew what he was doing. The other food we tried - chicken fried steak with gravy, cornmeal coated fish, skillet cornbread, hot links, scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, bacon, coated bacon, omelets, tater tots were all top quality, fresh, hot and delicious. We sat by the dessert area and were amazed at the number of people who eat so many sweets early in the morning - including cotton candy! There was never an area that was empty. Everything was kept well stocked. As soon as the cotton candy was gone, there was more made and put out. We were very impressed and plan to go again. The key we discovered is to go for the breakfast and go when they first open - very few children! Glad we gave their breakfast a try again.
