Jaleo is a restaurant by Chef José Andrés' which is a modern Spanish tapas joint inside The Cosmopolitan Hotel Casino here in Las Vegas. It's a cool hip spot to be if you feel like some good food in small portions, i.e. tapas! Let me just say wow. They deserve more recognition than they are getting absolutely five stars. There aren't many tapas places around and most are pretty average. Jaleo on the other hand is not average it is way above average. It really is that good. If you love Spanish food that is very traditional from Spain you will love this place. Some of the things you must try are the Pan de cristal con tomate which is amazing. They import the bread from Spain and cook it to absolute perfection with toasted slices of uniquely crispy ethereal Spanish bread brushed with fresh smashed tomato and garlic. Next is the Chistorra Envuelta en Patata Frita which is Slightly spicy Chorizo link wrapped in a Crispy Potato Chip with Membrillo Alioli. WOW seriously one of the best things on the menu. Next was the Gambas al Ajillo that is a famous tapa of shrimp sautéed with garlic. It's another amazing delicious dish.
Lastly I would like to tell you about the goat cheese dish. It's called the Caña de Cabra Con Higos. It's a soft, semi-sweet goats milk cheese paired with raisin walnut bread and fig jam. Another delicious dish!
What can I say except I think it's the best Spanish food in Vegas.
