| - As a 1st yr vendor I was excited. 1.2 millions visitors, should be a great, successful time-NOT! The crowds were there but mostly kids, young families and no one really willing to spend money unless it was deep-fried or "made in china", they were also typically rude and disrespextful. What was worse was the fair staff. No one knew what they were talking about, you got a different answer to the same ? From everyone. The "operations" staff sat at our booth, every night for 3-4 hours, eating, talking, swearing, leaving their garbage behind (ironically garbage is part of their duties). We guessed this job was part of their parole/work release requirements. We paid a ridiculous $200 for vendor parking and every day we pulled in they told us to go to a different spot, all of which the general public was allowed to park in as well. The bathrooms were a war zone, I went days with out going to the bathroom for 8-10 hours because they were so gross. We met with a lot of vendors who said this was the worst they had seen things and we're probably not going to return. It's a shame to say but never again
