Schawarmamamamamaaaaa?
I love schawarmas in general! This is what I expect in Schawarma - for the meat to be delicious, thinly sliced full of flavors!
So what did I think of the meat at this place? First of all.. why isn't it thinly sliced? But it was very tasty and full of flavors!
I like the schawarma to be wrapped properly in its pita in foil. The pita is on the side and you stuff it yourself. There's a lot of meat - the way it should be! The tahini sauce is good.
I like the tabbouleh - refreshing. Whenever you add olive oil with vegetables and toss it together with small diced vegetables, how can you go wrong? You can't! I toss some of it in my schawarma because whenever I eat schawarmas....I like it when it has thinly sliced meat with tahini, tomatoes, lettuce and grilled onions - maybe I am asking for too much or I don't know what an authentic schawarma is (this is what I get back at Undergrad - if you went to Davis, Sam's is SOO GOOD!)!
Guy at the counter is super nice. They gave us the wrong dishes at first, we stared at it for awhile...then he realized it, he apologized and just took it and brought it to the other table - made us laugh :) because...
1) He just assumed we didn't touch the food
2) He could have given us free food for doing that
3) He could've left the pita and gave us the couple a new pita
4) The couple who received our food did NOT notice it was sitting at our table for 5 minutes
I might go back again if other people insist but I probably won't insist. I had my taste of it.
FYI - I walked in and I was surprised to see a market - that's all.
