I'm guessing that people come for the beer and love the beer. Well, I cannot have gluten, and there were 3 gluten-free beers on the menu. Guess what? They had none of them. So much for the beer.
So now let's move on to the food... the chicken burger itself was good. I had mine topped with pepper jack, baby greens, and pesto. The pesto was blah. The frites. Seriously? Those are frie/s/. Regular old fries. Like diner fries. Very disappointed. Not Belgian. Overall, waaaay too expensive for what it was. It was the 4th chicken/turkey burger-based meal (no judgments, please) that I had eaten in the last 6 meals, and it was the worst and the most expensive. (I can tell you where to get better ones if you're super nice to me.)
I was actually surprised at the vibe--in a good way. I imagined it would be more of a beer bar, but it's very much an after work dinner place for people who live or are staying in hotels downtown or perhaps a place to meet and chill out with work colleagues. We watched the Pirates game on the big screens at the bar and listened to some jerks say inappropriate things about their female colleagues. Good times.
Bar tenders were pretty cool although I don't think they love serving food at the bar.
