  • The date of this review is December 26, 2016. On December 22, 2016, my wife wanted to go to the Bonanza Gift Shop. In all our previous visits to Las Vegas, we have never been to this gift shop. We arrived at their parking lot around 11:30 a.m. In no time, we were met by a young homeless man. He asked us for a dollar to buy food. Fearing that he may damage our vehicle (rented for the trip), we gave the man the dollar. This was not a good omen starting the shopping spree at Bonanza. When we entered the store, we observed a person standing high on a step-ladder looking left and right probably searching for shoplifters. After 45 minutes of shopping, my wife was able to find light jackets (jean material.) They were on clearance and were priced $7.99 each, two for $10.99. My wife tried two on, they fitted perfectly, and decided to buy them. She also bought two small wall calendars, 2017-18, for $5.00 and one large calendar priced at $5.99. The calendars were the cheapest my wife was able to find in Las Vegas. I bought two glass shot glasses, each priced at $0.99. These were the cheapest priced shot glass that I found in the store. I also looked for T-shirts but was unable to find the right size for me and the design that I like. The shirts were marked at $16.99 each. I also looked at coffee mugs but I noticed that they were priced much higher than ones I saw at a gift shop at another hotel lobby. The store carries a lot of items that appeal to shoppers. My observation is that some of their items are overpriced, but if you search the store, one may be able to find some bargains. If you are looking for some hard-to-find gifts, Bonanza Gift Shop may have it, but expect to pay more here. A word to management: The presence of homeless people approaching customers in the parking lot is not a good feeling. Security personnel should be manning the lot. I don't have to be scared and worried when I shop at Bonanza, especially at night time.
