This review is based solely on Friday nights at the bar/lounge area of Cioppino. I have never eaten on the dining room side. Having said that, Cioppino has lots of great free live music on Friday nights in their bar/lounge area which is quite swanky. There are bar stools, low & high top tables & a couch seating area. Bands typically play 7-11pm, no cover. They have various happy hour specials such as $2 off beer, $5 house wine & $4 off bar menu food. Their cod sandwich was outstanding and a mere $6 at happy hour (5-7) & came with a boatload of fries. I had a house Pinot Grigio. The clientele varies, but it's more upscale yet casual & draws a 35 & up crowd. I like the ambience & their food is good (but pricey if you're not there during happy hour). I've gotten away with a meal & 2 drinks during happy hour for $20, but after happy hour I've paid as much as $65 with tip for a meal & a few drinks. They have complimentary valet parking. The restaurant is tucked back on Railroad St just off Smallman. Definitely worth checking out for a nice date night or outing with girlfriends.
