Water heater was not working and this was the sticker on the machine. They had performed the warranty replacement on the unit right before we bought the house a little over 2 years ago. First thing the plumber tells me is that there will be no work done under warranty as it has already been replaced once. Now I dont know squat about water heaters, but this sent me a bit sideways. They did a warranty replacement a bit over 2 years ago and it is now not working. You're telling me that a $2000 water heater is only good for a couple years? Hmmm... So he proceeds to diagnose the issue. He does not have the right parts on the truck. Long story short, 4 trips out to my house over a 2 week period, supposedly not getting the correct parts from a supplier, he finally gets it back working again. All to the charge of damn near $800, almost 1/2 the cost of a fully new unit. Again, I know I'm no expert, but I dont feel this was an honest charge. I as the customer do not feel obligated for his or his suppliers mistakes and his travel time, if he truly was getting wrong parts. He's the expert and he should know what the hell to ask for. I dont feel obligated to pay for mistakes on their end and his extra trips. Also, he never gave me a receipt. I called him back the next day and asked for one and was told he'd call the office and have one mailed. Never have received. I wish I would have read the Yelp reviews prior to calling, I would have chosen a different company to call.
