Not sure where to start here. First, I've been coming to this resort most of my life as I'm a Az native and this has always been a beautiful place in Az. My best friend and i were treated to a weekend stay and spa package by our men. We've been looking forward to our stay for weeks. We arrived and it was a mad house due to a dance competition that was there this weekend. We get to our room and it was very nice when we walk in. We proceeded to walk out on the patio to see our view and realized there is a wasp nest right on the sliding door hinge and the patio was filled with spiderwebs. We call down to the front to notify guest service and they said they would send somebody up right away to clean our patio. We were there Sat thru Monday and nobody ever showed. Needless to say we were unable to enjoy our patio. The following day we went to a secluded pool by our room and there were cigarette butts, beer cans, cups, towels, leftover food from the night before everywhere. We started to clean up so that we could enjoy our morning sun before our spa day and called the front to send someone also. He did show up about 20 min later. We stayed at the pool for 2 hours before our spa day. We walked in and it was all open. Felt like walking into a hair salon. They don't offer Robes or anything to make you feel your getting a resort type treatment. $200 + 20% gratuity for an hour and 20 minute massage with nothing extra. My therapist either fell asleep or was texting during mine. I felt him stop 3 times with just his hand on me. It was the worst experience I've had with a massage. Save your money and go to massage envy. My other girlfriend was put in the overflow room next to the washer and dryer where the lights don't dim. I can't speak for her but she had an equally as bad experience. We would have rather been by the pool. They did end up comping my massage and offered 20% off to my girlfriend. We ate onsite 5 times and the only amazing experience we had was Sunday night at A different point of view. Dinner was amazing, waiter and wait staff were phenomenal and that view is the best in Arizona. Other than that the experience was far from the excitement we had for 2 months building up to our weekend. What a shame as this was always one of my favorite places to be. Many memories. When we complained at the desk at checkout we only got a sorry. No management was called to try to rectify our stay.
