I had move cross country suddenly because of my mother's health and Dish would not let me break contract...told me I could just resume service in my new home for same or better rate.
Not true. The first technician failed to give me local channels and on demand. The second technician established the local channels for me. Nice right, so I can record my local shows now, after missing them for two weeks. Well I go to watch them on Demand. But wait, it is not hooked up. I call back and after an hour, they tell me it is my fault that I should have instructed the technician that is why I wanted...really??? Isn't that in the work order. Not only is it my fault, They won't let me cancel nor will they refund my bill of last month in which I was not able to watch or record the 2 shows I care about.
And insist I need a new piece of equipment that costs 25$ to establish the broadband connection. I am fuming. I am bound by contract. Apparently they are not. I see why all the Dish places have gone under. I do not recommend, not even to my enemies.

Oh wait, it gets better. After and hour of being on the phone convincing them that it is not my responsibility to instruct technicians to hook internet to receiver so that I can get the broadband service they will bill me for, I have now been waiting nearly 4 hours. Just got call that I missed service appt because I am not home. But I am. They had the wrong street entirely...but the correct street number. How is it possible to be so..........
