| - So, my Juicy Lucy burger made me sick last night! This was my 4th time having this burger here. Everytime and including yesterday I have really enjoyed them. Yesterday was different though. The burger was undercooked and on the pink side throughout. I know some burgers and other red meats can be cooked to order. However, this burger has no such option and is supposed to be well done. Also, my Juicy Lucy appeared to have no cheese inside which makes this burger unique. In case you're reading this and aren't familiar with a Juicy Lucy burger, it is two 5oz patties molded together with cheese in the middle. Upon your first bite you should encounter some melted cheese, this time I found no cheese! Thus making the burger on the dry side. Like I said, it was still good and didn't realize how disappointing it was until I woke up feeling ill this morning. I can count prob on one hand how many times I've gotten sick from food ever, so pretty sure this undercooked burger was the culprit this time. Cool thing is that if you add bacon there's no extra charge which is rare. Hopefully this review won't deter you from trying this delicious burger, just figured I'd share my experience.
Otherwise, this is a cool little establishment! I prefer the bar area and it's ambiance rather than the dining area. Call me a dork, but I like the colored mason jars that they usually serve water only in lol. They have pretty good daily food and drink specials. Also a great beer selection. Their specialty is their unique ways of making grilled cheese sandwiches. I haven't had one yet, but plan to next visit. I'll be back soon, just wish I had a better Juicy Lucy this past trip!
