With all the long lines and hype, I finally agreed to try Golden Corral with my dad.
Luckily, the day we went, the line wasn't bad so our wait wasn't long at all! Prices for lunch is about $9, which is pretty inexpensive for a buffet. I was actually surprised at their food selection - they offered a lot more than I imagined!
Salad bar was fresh, and they have fresh ingredients all lined up like a mini grocery store behind the counter for you to see.
The hot food was okay - despite some tasty sounding dishes, the food itself was pretty mediocre. Nothing terrible, but you get what you pay for.
Dessert was average too - nothing that stands out... except for the fondue fountain and cotton candy! The chocolate I took advantage of for myself. I'm not a huge fan of cotton candy, but kids go nuts over it! So I took one for my little cousin, and she loved it.
Place was clean though, and the staff were working hard to get things moving.
