Have been here several times. We WANT to love it as we have a sentimental connection to NOLA. Yet, as hard as we have tried, it continually falls short. The food is decent but I'm sure any New Orleanian would say the same thing: there's just no genuine Southern hospitality or love. It seems to come from the owner Lola. She offers no "warmth" to the guests or even her staff - just cold. If you sit in the bar, she just broods and frowns and makes it feel like any other faceless, cold bar in any town. Nothing is genuine New Orleans except Dominic the bartender ~ he's a gem.
