My daughter was in a minor fender bender in which someone struck her car from behind. The guy who hit her paid out of pocket for the repair rather than file a claim. This was fine as he was an honest guy. I went out and got 3 estimates from shops in the area (Raintree, Ric's, and Service King) based on reviews. All three were close to one another in their estimate ($50 difference between bids). However, Raintree and Ric's didn't include the impact bar (the real bumper under the plastic shell) in their estimate Service King included that in their estimate and when they found it wasn't damaged, removed that part from the final cost. So I saved $241 dollars by using Service King. The interesting thing was: I don't know if I would have scrutinized the costs if the insurance company had been paying, but paying out of pocket caused me to be more critical in my analysis of the bids and the planned work. Service King truly was "the king" in this situation. I am very pleased with the work and their willingness to offer a comprehensive bid. I would highly recommend this company.
