When I was a little kid, my parents took me to Bank of America to open up my first savings account. I had that account until I was in college, then I dropped it in favor of a credit union and a local bank in Nevada.
A little over a year ago, they sent me an invitation in the mail to reopen a bank account with them and gave me a $50 incentive if I put a nominal deposit in a checking account. I did that for the free money....why not?
Now that I'm back and banking with them, it's been less than stellar. They have so many restrictions on cashing checks, fees for low balances, transaction fees for this and that...whatever, this is not good.
Now that I have the free money from them, I'm going to close my account and move on.
