  • Where to begin.. STAY AWAY!! (LONG POST TO FOLLOW) Wedding was Sunday 9/3/2017 I was in a bridal party who decided to use cora for not only our bridesmaid dresses, but the brides as well. We dropped off our dresses MONTHS ago and had scheduled pick up dates and times the week of the wedding. Come the week of the wedding multiple girls went for P/U and the dresses were not finished. We had requested and paid for our straps to be taken up, length to be hemmed, and the armpit to be shaved down. Upon P/U with no time left all girls had noticed later on when arriving at our hotel that: 1. the armpits were not shaven down 2. the straps looked rushed and thread unraveling 3. one girls dress had white thread in it ( the dress color is a plum color ) - AND - 4. another girls bra cups were half sewn in and dangling. Another issue that we had encountered was that the MOH (brides sister) had been in contact a while back about dropping off their (since then passed) mothers old wedding dress in hopes to have a pocket square (for the groom), lace for the bouquets, and a handkerchief (for the bride) made - as a gift and future family heirloom. While the gifts were to have been shipped to the MOH's house who lives over an hour away; they had not arrived yet. She then tried multiple times to contact cora or staff in which the phones mailbox was full every time or she just never received a call back. This is when other bridesmaids stepped in and tried contacting as well ---NOTHING. So...when I came to pick up my dress on Thursday 8/31/2017 I was also instructed to FINALLY pick up the MOH's gifts to the bride. Soo heres what happened then: While I was there I witnesses another bride (who was getting married in Vegas withing a couple days) freak out because her dress was still not finishes - nor had been clean. The poor bride had already had to buy an extra plain ticket to fly her dress down due to coras mistake. After this last mishap the bride demanded a refund and had to find another seamstress just days before her flight. I also get there and had to wait for an extended period of time due to them saying they were "steaming" my dress. Well my dress didn't look steamed.. So I tried it on shortly after the previous bride freak out. what do you know - not finished. I decided to say look past it, there is no time. Upon arrival at the hotel and giving the gifts to the MOH and their beloved mothers old wedding dress, we open up the box and notice a few things: 1. Pocket square wasn't the size asked for and poor quality of stitching 2. Handkerchief was round and looked more like a doily than a square handkerchief in which was asked for. 3. The lace for the bouquets was not cut out to be maid for flowers - instead it was a long, large, thick section of lace - not cut.. AND LASTLY!!! 4. Their beloved mothers wedding dress in which was asked to take fabric from the middle layer of the dress has been cut smack dab in the middle on FRONT LAYER of the front of the dress and left un-fixed/chopped up and returned to us. I get it, you had employees quit.. You are a business owner and in the wedding industry of people spending a lot of money. This is your job to figure out a plan be and also stay in contact with your customers. We have since then contacted not Cora but her Mother - since Cora couldn't bother to answer, and demanded a full refund of everything we had purchased from her.
