I don't usually write bad reviews because I'd rather not waste the keystrokes, but this store is the pits, as far as retailing liquor and beer. I'm still new to the concept of buying alcohol and beer at government-owned properties (monopoly anyone?) but this place actually let me down.
As with most places staffed by city or state employees, the service was brutal. Nobody working there seemed to care about whether we had a good experience or not. maybe they were already happy with the fact that as government employees they were being paid far above their pay-grade. We asked a lady stocking shelves if they housed 2 different types of wines, and she proceeded to tell us about how there was a Wine Rack a quick 20 minute walk away where an employee there would be able to tell us more about the products we asked for. When we got to the cash there was no "hello" just a "air miles? cash credit or debit?" and the cashier began packing the bags. When we mentioned we had our own bags the lady at the cash unpacked the 2 bottles she had packed BEFORE WAITING FOR OUR ANSWER and didn't say another word to us even after we'd paid.
I understand it is probably annoying to sell booze all day, but come on! We'll obviously be back because in Ontario theres no other place to buy booze other than where the regulators tell you, but they still get one star
