| - This little place is a gem in West Phoenix. It's decor is very basic, and they have Caribbean and African music videos playing in the background, which I thought was a nice touch. I found myself jamming along with the music more than once.
If you're a first-timer, I highly suggest you go during the buffet on Sundays, so you can try out many different items for only $9.99. My daughter and I went for the buffet today. I love, love, love the Yasso Chicken! The meat is so tender and it is very well seasoned! And on top of the yellow rice with all of the yummy seasoning, it was simply delish! The Curry Chicken is also really good! The Euguisi was definitely different, but it was tasty. I've never been a fan of goat meat, but it nice to be able to try it. The Pof Pof was tasty and provided a nice sweet balance to the spice of the rest of the food. We also ordered a meat pattie, which was okay. I think my daughter was expecting it to be like a Jamaican beef pattie, but it's not. The crust is thicker and not flaky like the Jamaican beef pattie, but the filling was good.
I agree with another reviewer that the servers needed some nudging on drink refills, but all in all, the service was great! The owner, Esther, even came out, spoke to us for a bit, and thanked us for coming in. That's a huge plus in my book! I will definitely be back for some of that yummy Yasso Chicken!
