As a lifetime Jays fan it would be almost impossible for me to dislike the Rogers Centre, however it definitely has a few cons.
Prices: A 3 dollar hot dog at every hotdog stand in the city is a 5 dollars at the Rogers Centre. A tallboy of Heineken was $11.50 which is absolutely preposterous. I guess the fact that the tickets are so cheap, kind of makes up for all that...
Seating: The seats are kind of crammed. And look virtually un-touched for the past 10 years in the 500 level. You have very minimal leg room as well. If your used to visiting other ballparks than that will definitely be the thing you notice the most.
Secutiry: Security is fairly good. Obviously theres cops there and what not, but my only complaint is how they do no more then take a glance at you at the door. Its kind of un-comforting knowing how easily it would be for someone to bring something into the stadium. We all know what Im talking about.
Other than that they just do things that annoy me personally (like opening the gates an hour and a half before the game. Yeah have fun watching the visitors do batting practice) and how they took away the pitch speed place.
Aside from all that, the stadium is relatively nice. The field looks amazing on a day game, and you'll get a great view of the CN Tower as well. Theres also a lot of fan interaction with the huge jumbotron.
Its always a great experience, but they still do a few things that make me scratch my head.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. They have this weird rule with bags. in front of all the gates they have these small rectangular boxes, and if your bag cant fit in it you cant take it in. I have no idea what they would do with it didn't fit. Hopefully they would have the decency to hold it for you until the end of the game. Just to give you a general idea of how big the box is... Its probably around 15-18 inches tall by about 8 inches wide.
