  • I've only been to this location a few times, but I have to say each time has been a pleasant experience as far as a grocery shopping experience can be. The store itself seems like an older one, but the employees here do a good job at keeping the place clean, organized and stocked. My last visit was a short one as I came in just for one item. Was able to find it quickly before I made my rounds in the store to compare prices for the popular items that I would buy on a regular basis. Like any store, you definitely have to "shop" before buying something if you are looking to buy something based off of the price. I'm one that tries to buy the item with the cheapest price if at all possible. I don't like to spend a ton of money on groceries a week. Many of the items I would buy were the same price or cheaper than Walmart. Smith's had a lot of sales going on, probably due to Valentine's day. If I lived in Henderson, I definitely would have picked up some of the items in produce and meat departments. The produce department was bright with all the different colors of all the delicious looking fruits and veggies that were nicely stacked. Nothing looked bruised, wilted or almost at the stage of being "expired". Lots to choose from and at very competitive prices. Same with the meat department. They had a great selection of meats from beef, chicken, turkey and lots and lots of amazing seafood. They had some of the biggest lobster tails and shrimp that I've ever seen offered at a grocery store! There were lots of people in the store, but I was able to check out quickly in the self check-out lane. I paid with cash and the machine didn't give me the correct change back. The lady at the end quickly gave me the difference back. She told me that the machines sometimes doesn't give the correct money back, so if you pay with cash, please make sure that you check your receipt and the money that comes out of the machine to make sure it matches up. This Smith's has a gas station and if you have a savings card, you save 3 cents a gallon which is always a good thing for me. I would definitely recommend this location and will be back.
