  • This review is for the McDowell Ranch location. First of all, the restaurant itself is beautiful and I really love the outside patio area. Last night was my third time there and on all three occasions my party and I sat outside. And on each of these occasions we had the same experience of loud kids running around unsupervised. They were climbing on the walls which post clear signs saying Please Do Not Climb. All this while the parents were sitting around their respective tables drinking and being totally oblivious to the havoc their children were wreaking on other patrons. And none of the employees seemed to want to deal with it either. It was not an enjoyable, relaxing experience we had hoped for. Ok, now the food. My first visit there I ordered a grilled romaine salad with creamy feta dressing and it was wonderful. By the second visit, maybe three weeks later, it disappeared off the menu, so I ordered the Asain Chop Salad. It was just ok. Last night I ordered the Cobb Salad (I am a salad person) WITHOUT the blue cheese....I hate blue cheese...but it came with blue cheese, which unfortunately, I did not notice immediately since it was evening and it also had chopped egg on top which hid the cheese. I did not send it back because it had already taken forever to get our dinners and I was in a hurry to get out and away from "McDonald's Playland". So I picked off as much of the cheese as I could but I could still taste it. I also ordered grilled salmon on the salad and that came out tough and dry....severely overcooked. My husband said his burger was just ok, and he was just as disgusted as I was that we had to witness Romper Room whilst eating. Parents, please either leave your kids at home or make sure they behave appropriately if you do bring them, not only to be curteous to other diners, but for the safety of your own children. I witnessed many near-accidents from falls to running into waiters with trays of hot food. Not to mention this place could be considered easy pickings for a child predator since parents are not paying attention and there is ideal access to parking lots and streets on all sides. I will not be back for a fourth visit.
