Last year I renewed my Sprint contract with Best Buy for an iPhone 5s when I found out Sprint no longer offered my data plan but BB could make it happen. I added the BB insurance rather than Apple Care plus because I was there and it allowed me to skip a step and do it when I purchased. The plan seemed similar in price and the insurance was "better" according to the associate. Well, not so much when my phone was dropped into the toilet by my grandchild. They said it was a submersion not a spill and too bad, so sad. I purchased a new iPhone 6 from them to keep data plan and Sprint allowed it as an upgrade on our account. So, I still had more than a year left on my 2 year insurance purchased and called the geek squad and spoke to Anthony who said no problem, come in to BB and they would refund the $125.00 due. I went in and was waited on by Brian who upon hearing my issue told me they didn't do this sort of transaction on phones in the stores so I must go through corporate. NOT based upon what Anthony told me and driving from Boulder City, was I going to let this go. He spoke to his manager and within 5 minutes he was kindly refunding me the cash which is how I paid them last year. He was polite and I left happy. Lesson learned and won't buy their insurance again, back to Apple Care Plus and always get a name when you call and stand your ground.
