| - Sooo, I thought long and hard about this review. I really wish I could give the construction crew 5 stars, the office staff 2 stars, and the sales guy 1 star. I wont bore you with all the details except to say that the construction crew was awesome, cleaned the work site, kept my dogs contained and everything worked as advertised. The office staff were hit and miss. Some were fantastic and others useless. I once scheduled a follow up visit to tweak some things and took time off work to be there. The day of the appointment came and no one showed up. I called the office and it was never scheduled!
The sales guy basically disappeared once the contract was signed, and was horrible at communicating with me. He literally called me a half hour after construction crews started, to tell me that they were going to start construction that day! I was under the impression sales would come out to show me the monitoring system, but that never happened, although it is super easy to understand. I do wish somebody had a better understanding of NV energy bill, because for months I thought there was something wrong because it wasn't jiving with the monitoring system. I called the office who referred me to the monitoring system customer service who couldn't really explain it. After some frustration I found a human at nv energy who explained it to me and everything makes sense now, and the system is fine! Btw...good luck getting a human at NV energy... I finally got the direct number to net metering billing....write this down...it will save you frustration...702 402 2330.
Bottom line, the system is installed and functioning as promised. I got a nice tax credit, it passed inspection no problem. I just got my first summer bill which would normally be $285 and it was fifty dollars. This was the first bill since January that I had to pay! So overall I am satisfied.
I do wish they had disclosed to me at the time of sale that NV energy is very slow to install the net meter and hook you to the grid. I had to pay my regular electric bill and the first panel payment and it would have been nice to have been warned that this might occur. Not their fault though.
Have to update...to further drive my point home about the office...a sales person just called me from summerlin energy asking if I had given anymore thought about moving forward with installing solar panels! Lol. Ummmm, yes 7 months ago when YOU installed them on my roof!!
