| - Better Than New...great name, great staff, great service, and great work. Here is a small, but top-notch, business that came through in all ways after first interesting me via its informative website.
When I called, Dan (one of the owners) came out within a day or two to look at what furniture pieces I needed to have work done on. I had 11 chairs needing repair and/or refinishing. The biggest project, however, was my kitchen table (and 2 chairs) from the 1950s that Dan said is very popular now with people wanting somewhat of a retro look. (I'm not sure if that is the way Dan would describe it. You'll have to ask him.) Anyway, all the work done--repair, upholstery, refinishing, staining, etc.--was superb. The "new" color for the table and its 2 chairs was/is VERY nice--even more appealing to the eye than what was on the pieces before.
As I said, Better Than New is a small company. So, if you need some furniture worked on, you won't mind having waited longer than you expected--hey, this place has its "busy seasons" like any other company. Also, more important, you will end up being very pleased with the results. Dan and Chris like what they do, and they will take the time to do a great job. Try them out...and down the road recommend them to your friends.
