I was in an automobile accident and Metro was kind enough to request a tow since my car was not operable. Metro also advised me to have the tow company tow my car from the accident site to the tow yard vs having the car towed to the repair shop. The difference being no out of pocket expense or an out of pocket expense. I have full coverage and my car is only a year old so I took the officers advice and asked that it be towed to the tow yard. Up until here things were fine considering I was still in shock from being in a accident, However things went from bad to worse.
My accident happened around noon on a Friday my car didn't even make it to the tow yard until after 6pm. Not sure where it was but the repair shop could not get this place to cooperate. My insurance had to fax them a consent to tow twice, the lady dispatcher was beyond condescending and very rude and unhelpful. My car was finally released to the repair shop on Tuesday because of their incompetence delaying the estimate charges and repair process. But they did not hesitate to bill my insurance for these extra days. The autobody shop let me know this place is equally as rude to them and not to take it personal it is just how they are. So unreal and shady...
*Horrible customer service
*Delayed arrival from point of accident to the actual tow yard. I can't wait to see how ransacked my car is when I get it back after repairs.
*Rude lady dispatcher. Talks to you like you are a 3 year old. Heaven forbid she actually do her job and explain the process. It's not like people get in accidents every day or need a tow.
