| - I had wished someone listed all the food so....
We went for Saturday dinner for my Mom's birthday. Started with a ceasar salad that was disappointing, but a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and bacon made up for that. Delicious!! I added a few blue cheese crumples from the cheese platter, and also had some salami that was perfectly thin. The cheese and meat platters had several other options.
A seafood station where you choose whatever fresh seafood you like (halibut, shrimp, small scallops, etc.) and a chef cooks them up for you in a white wine or bouillabaise sauce was great. Except it is one of the largest portions, and too much to finish when there is so much else.
Cracked crab is served chilled, but the chef at that seafood cooking station asked if I'd like him to heat mine up.... so hell ya. Yummmm! Hummus, veggies, fresh fruit, waldorf salad, mashed potatoes, bourbon carrots that we all loooved and my Grandma wants a recipe for. Crazy yummy spinach artichoke dip comes with only two chips, but grab some pita from the hummus to eat up the rest!!!!
I went straight for the Prime Rib, because it's my favorite, and it was pink perfection. But they had huge beef ribs, sausages, lamb, chicken that looked yummy, roast, and turkey.
Pad thai, Chicken Tikka Masala was great, fried vegetable gyozas were yum. Lot's of chinese dishes I skipped. We tried the bone marrow w kimchi sauce since everyone on Yelp mentioned it, that was good. I tried the duck confit for adventure and that was tasty.
Somehow I feel like I'm still missing lots of dinner stuff..... now the frickin dessert. Of couse it was great. So nice that all the portions were small so we could try a bit of everything. But after all that rich food, the Blood Orange Sherbet was my favorite. So refreshing and light.... but the carrot cake was yummy too. Only the eclairs weren't quite eclairs. And the cheesecake wasn't the best.
It was nice to have small portions so everything was warm and just enough. We all were sickeningly satisfied, definitly needed some walking on the strip after that feast. We got there around 5:30 which was a great time it wasnt too busy, because when we left a bit before 8 the place was packed, and it looked harder to explore the different stations. After dinner we all had some coffee and settled for a bit before dessert, that was a god idea.
Favorites: Prime Rib, wedge salad, Blood Orange Sherbet.
