I love this place. The food is traditional Italian (rather than the New Italian/American found in so many hip spots or the Italian American fare found in budget Italian places) so be prepared to push your boundaries a little bit.
Their menus are seasonal and there's always a board full of specials. It's got a European, amazing food, upscale cafe vibe.
The entrees/pastas can be a little meat heavy, but I've dined here with a vegetarian a couple times and they've never had trouble finding something they wanted to order.
I strongly recommend getting one of the trios (vegetable or seafood) and grabbing an entree or pasta off of the board.
The desserts are all amazing (most recently had a chocolate crepe, though the budino is great too.)
Anyway if you've got the $$$, are craving some incredible food, but want a less pretentious atmosphere than the main competition (Cento) run, don't walk, to Osteria Papavero.
