The food tastes okay but the service is bad. Let me cite a couple of experiences (each with a different person):
1. A couple of days back, I ordered for pickup and noticed after reaching home that the dessert was missing. I called to let them know and all that he said was "Oh, sorry sir, I was talking to someone and forgot to pack it." I was surprised that he gave no offer whatsoever to try to make up for the mistake. I was going to say that I would take it the next time I go there but he hung up before I could complete!
2. While ordering two Dinner Grill Thalis, one for my wife and one for myself, I went back and forth a couple of times with substituting the Masala Dosa with a different dosa that costs the same. This was because my wife told me she wanted something else as she heard me order for her and then she said she'd go with what I ordered first. As I apologized for changing it twice albeit within seconds, the owner said quite rudely that this would be the last time! He said "I am allowing you to substitute and you are changing!" Firstly, he had told me in the past that they do accept substitutions for Dinner Grill Thali although not for the lunch grill thali and the Dosas were all the same price so he need not have made it seem like a huge favor! Secondly, I changed before he finished taking the order and the restaurant wasn't busy at all at that time!
At $8 for dosa, the prices are somewhat on the higher side considering that it is a self-service restaurant with styrofoam plates. But the Grill thalis (combos) are a good deal.
