It's beautiful and modern and has a lot to offer but it's not the high end hotel it aims to be.
We were here for a hockey tournament with 9 other teams (sorry to anyone that was hoping for a quiet Valentine's getaway while we were there!) Getting checked in proved frustrating. The staff was a bit snobby even when we booked the room and we were given a room with 2 very small doubles when we had booked a King suite. They were quick to switch it out for the suite we had booked but it wasn't ready and we sat in the lobby for over an hour waiting.
The rooms were smaller than I expected but the layout was nice with the bedroom and living room areas being separated. There was a blanket in the closet for the pull out sofa but no extra pillows and just a shower in the bathroom - no tub. The floor clearly hadn't been vacuumed and it didn't smell very fresh .
Not a great sounding review but it really wasn't bad.
Happy hour was especially nice - FREE DRINKS! The line was long but can't really complain when they're giving it away. They even provided us with a banquet room for the teams to hang out in as a group in the evening. The events coordinator stopped by to check on us on a number of occasions and was very hospitable toward our group.
Breakfast was very good - lots to choose from and included an omelet bar. Lines moved fast and although it was a bit crowded, they did open up a room for overflow seating.
Overall, not bad. The little extras they offer tip the scales for the better.
