I also found this salon through Yelp, and I am pleasantly relieved to have found a salon I can trust in Pittsburgh. My stylist (Kara) gave me a very nice cut and discussed it with me prior to and while she was cutting. It was clear she wanted to know my preferences and give me a style I would like, which I did.
A caution though: it is a more expensive salon, so expect to spend at least $40 and upwards of $100 for the cut alone. The pricing scheme is based on the level of the stylist; better or more experienced stylists cost more. I thought the price was worth it tthough. I'd had awful experiences with Philip Pelusi previously, and had spent nearly as much there as I spent at McN.
It is also a beautiful and trendy salon, located at the top level of one of the new East Liberty shopping complexes, with a great view of East Liberty.
