As an avid spinner I was excited to hear about CycleBar coming to Toronto. I have really enjoyed the spinning classes - the instructors are full of energy, the studio itself is spacious and modern, they have good class times, and the stats at the ended are a nice touch to fuel my competitive nature.
I hope the studio gets busier. I workout in the mornings and so far the classes are hardly close to full. My only other complaint is the pricing structure - the class packages expire quite quickly and there is hardly any incentive to buy a larger package of classes because the classes are essentially a dollar cheaper as you increase the size of the package ($21 for 10 classes than expire in three months vs. $20 dollars for a package expiring in 5 months). I am reluctant to buy another package because of the expiration date. Hopefully they have promotions and consider the pricing models of other studios in Toronto (many of which do not increase expiration dates so quickly).
Also, the showers only have a multi-purpose shower gel. Having frequented many boutique fitness studios in Toronto, I expect there to at least be "real" shampoo and conditioner. They do have blowdriers, hair irons, towels, etc.
