Ive owned a Pizzeria on Chicago's North Side for 16 years. When you make pie for a living, you dont pass out compliments to other people's pizza easily.
That said, LAMP Pizzeria is the real deal. Ive never been huge fan of Neapolitan but their crust was best ive ever had in this genre. Crispy with a crunch and chew. Tomato sauce could have used a little more zest but still good. Fresh mozz and meats were top notch.
Goat cheese and Fig bruschetta with almonds was money. As was the Arugula and White Bean Salad. Marinated Olives werent salty because they were top quality.
Hazelnut and Salted Caramel Gelato were 10 out of 10. The almond cookie with them is too sweet.
Nice comfortable space. Excellent service. Highly recommended.
